Stand by me

I think this film takes place in the late 50's. You can see it on the boys' clothes and the environment. The town they live in look like it's from 1955 or something.

The boys get in many dangerous situations. They almost get hit by a train but they get of the track in the last minute. When they are trying to find a faster way they have to cross a small lake (or river, I don't know) and they get leeches all over them. When the boys find the corpse, Chris' brother and his gang are coming to take the corpse away from them. He's got a knife and threatens to kill them if they don't give him the dead boy. But Gordie has a gun and scare the gang, so they go away.

No scene did really scare me but I think it was pretty gross with all those leeches. I hate bugs and snails and slimy creatures like leeches!

If I were to tell a friend about this movie I would say something like this:

"It's about four boys who are to find the corpse of another boy who disappeared and they think has been murdered. They want to be famous and think that if they find the boy, the newspaper will write about them. One of the boys has a brother who has seen the corpse and also wants to find him and be famous. The four boys go into the forest and get into much trouble on their way."

I didn't like this movie that much. I think the story was pretty lame, it surprises me that it was Stephen King who wrote it. He always writes good stories, but I didn't like this one. The actors were not so good they either (not like I could do it better myself...), I think they were overacting. Wow, I do complain much... better say something nice too: The environment was nice. Not like it was anything special about it but I just liked it...
